To manually enter a formula in a table cell

  1. Double-click inside a table cell.

    The In-place Text Editor opens.

  2. Enter a formula (a function or an arithmetic expression), as in the following examples:

    The cell displays the result of the calculation.

 Shortcut menu: Select and right-click a cell or range of cells. Click InsertFormulaEquation.
