105 ONE PBSL Link SINGLE PASS

Description

This alarm is generated when the single path check function on the PB links is enabled on the BSC but the version of the external PCU does not support this function or the external PCU equipment runs abnormally.

4 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

If the PCU equipment runs abnormally, the MSs in the cell served by the PCU cannot process the PS services.

System Actions

The system continues to send the single path check messages.

Possible Causes

  • The single path check function on the PB links is enabled on the BSC but the version of the external PCU does not support this function. This does not affect the PS services of the cell served by this PCU.
  • The PCU equipment runs abnormally.

Procedure

  1. Contact the PCU maintenance engineers to check whether the current PCU version supports the single path check function on the PB links.

    Y => The PCU equipment is faulty. Go to 3.

    N => Go to 2.

  2. On the Management Tree of the LMT, right-click BSC6000 and choose Configure BSC Attributes from the shortcut menu. Then, click Software Parameter and check whether "Support Pb Single Pass Check" is set to "Yes".

    Y => Disable the single path check function on the PB links on the BSC and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    N => The PCU equipment is faulty. Go to 3.

  3. Contact the PCU maintenance engineers to check whether the PCU equipment is faulty.

    Y => The alarm handling is complete.

    N => Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
