Description

This alarm is reported when communications between the heat exchanger and the TMU are abnormal.

Impact on the System

The running status of the heat exchanger cannot be obtained when the alarm is generated.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • Wrong configuration of the TCU slot.
  • The TCU is not powered on or not in position.
  • The connection between the TCU and the BBU is faulty or abnormal.
  • The BBU interface unit is faulty.
  • The TCU is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the configuration of the slot is correct on the LMT. If the configuration is incorrect, configure the slot properly. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 2.

  2. Power off and then power on the TCU. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 3.

  3. Check the cable connection between the TCU, APMI, and BBU on the BTS side. If the alarm is not cleared after the cable connection fault is rectified, go to step 4.

  4. Check whether the PMU communication alarm is generated on the LMT.

    Y = > Replace the UPEU or UEIU board. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 5.

    N => Go to step 6.

  5. Replace the APMI and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 6.

  6. Replace the TCU and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
