Description

When GPS antenna current is abnormal, the alarm occurs.

Impact on the System

  • The GPS cannot lock the satellite.
  • The information on time and location of the GPS receiver is not accurate.

System Actions

Possible Causes

  • The antenna, surge protector, or RF cable path is faulty.
  • The antenna or cable path of the RGPS is faulty.
  • The GPS board is faulty.

Procedure

  1. If the alarm tributary number is 1, go to [2]. If the alarm tributary number is 2, go to [3].

  2. Check the connections between the GPS board and the connector of the antenna on top of the cabinet.
    1. Check whether the GPS board and the connector of the antenna on top of the cabinet are properly connected.

      Y=> Go to step 4;

      N=> Go to step b.

    2. Reconnect install the GPS board and the connector of the antenna on top of the cabinet, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm handing ends;

      N=> Go to step 4.

  3. Check the connections of the wiring terminals on the front panel of the GPS board.
    1. Check whether the wiring terminals on the front panel of the GPS board are properly connected.

      Y=> Go to step 4;

      N=> Go to step b.

    2. Reconnect the wiring terminals on the front panel of the GPS board, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm handing ends;

      N=> Go to step 4.

  4. Replace the DGPS board, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handing ends;

    N=> If the DGPS board uses the GPS receiver, go to step [5]. If the DGPS board uses the RGPS receiver, go to step [6].

  5. Replace the GPS antenna or surge protector, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handing ends;

    N=> Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
