ALM-12294 Board Software Fault Alarm

Description

This alarm is reported in the following conditions: [1] The alarm is triggered when there are irrecoverable software failures, such as failure in releasing memory request, failure in creating a task, failure in creating system object such as queue, and failure in message transmission during TMU software running. [2] This alarm is reported when the internal processor of the BTS3900B module runs abnormally. [3] This alarm is reported when the frame No. or TS No. is incorrect.

Cause of the fault

0:The BTS3900B software is abnormal.

1:The frame No. or the TS No. is incorrect.

2:The BTS3900B internal processor runs abnormally.

Impact on the System

When the alarm is generated, the services carried by the base station are disrupted.

System Actions

The system automatically shuts down the PA when this alarm is generated.

Possible Causes

  • The BTS software is abnormal.
  • The mailbox is faulty.
  • The 26 MHz clock is invalid during air interface synchronization.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the software version is correct.

    Check whether the software version number is correct on the BSC.

    Y => Go to procedure 2.

    N => Upload the Base Station Version.

  2. Reset the BTS.

    Reset the Site in Level 4 on the SMT or the LMT. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. End the alarm handling.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
