ALM-12804 Board Hardware Failure Alarm

Description

This alarm is reported when the board has unrecoverable faults. The faults include the failures of writing, erasing, and self-checking the flash memory, no output of clock signals, and loss of clock signals at the Ethernet ports for traffic.

Impact on the System

When the alarm is generated, the services carried by the base station are disrupted.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The RF RX and TX channel hardware is faulty.
  • The hardware of the PA board is faulty.
  • The parts of IF phase-lock loop, AD6655, AD9230, AD9788, SFP connectors are faulty.
  • The hardware of the board flash, FPGA, DSP, clock, voltage adjustment of power supply, AC power-off detection circuits is faulty.
  • The board power supply is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Reset the base station.

    On the LMT or SMT, Reset the Site in Level 4, and then check whether the alarm is cleared. Y=> The alarm is cleared. End the alarm handling.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Replace the BTS3900E module.

    Replace the BTS3900E Module, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. End the alarm handling.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
