Description

This alarm is reported when the temperature of batteries is too high or too low.

Impact on the System

The supply of backup power to the BTS is affected. In a severe case, the batteries are disconnected because of overtemperature or undertemperature protection.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • Overload or short circuit occurs.
  • The related alarm threshold is set improperly.
  • The ambient temperature is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Check the related battery temperature threshold at which the alarm is reported.
    1. Query the threshold settings, and check whether the threshold is properly set:

      Y => The threshold is properly set. Go to procedure 2.

      N => The threshold is improperly set. Go to step b.

    2. Change the temperature threshold that is improperly set.

      Change the threshold, and then check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Check the heat exchanger.
    1. Check whether the heat exchanger works properly:

      Y => The heat exchanger works properly. Go to procedure 3.

      N => The heat exchanger does not work properly. Go to step b.

    2. Repair the heat exchanger.

      Repair the heat exchanger, and then check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 3.

  3. Replace the temperature sensor.

    Replace the temperature sensor, and then check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
