When GPS receiver can not receive the GPS satellite signal, the alarm occurs.

The GPS receiver cannot locate the satellite.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

The GPS signals may be temporarily lost due to environmental factors, such as barriers or weather conditions. Generally, the GPS signals can be restored after the environmental factors are eliminated.

Procedure

  1. Check for ALM-13326 GPS Antenna Fault Alarm.

    Y => ALM-13326 GPS Antenna Fault Alarm is generated. Clear the alarm according to related alarm handling suggestions.

    N => ALM-13326 GPS Antenna Fault Alarm is not generated. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Check the GPS antenna.
    1. Check whether the GPS antenna is shielded by barriers.

      Y => The GPS antenna is shielded by barriers. Go to step b.

      N => The GPS antenna is not shielded by barriers. Go to procedure 3.

    2. Remove the barriers. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 3.

  3. Check the USCU.

    Reset the USCU. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 4.

  4. Replace the USCU. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 5.

  5. Replace the GPS antenna. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei.
