20002 Incorrect Board Slot Information

Description

This alarm is reported when the slot information is different from the slot information recorded upon board power-on.

6 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

  • If the board is not reset, the service will not be affected.
  • If the board is reset, it might not be normally started or the service over the board might not be normally proceeded after normal startup.

System Actions

  • Handling of the active board in the active/standby operation mode: Perform the switchover if the standby is ready for the operation.
  • Handling of the standby board in the active/standby operation mode: None.
  • Handling of the board in the Independent operation mode: None.

Possible Causes

  • The board is not securely inserted.
  • The pin of the board is damaged.
  • The connector of the board is damaged.

Procedure

  1. Insert securely the board and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Go to 2.

  2. Check whether the alarm is reported by two or more boards in the same subrack.

    Y => Two or more boards report this alarm in the same subrack. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

    N => Only one board reports this alarm. Go to 3.

  3. Check whether the board is in independent operation mode.

    Y => The board is in Independent operation mode. Go to 7.

    N => The board is in active/standby operation mode. Go to 4.

  4. Check whether the active board reports this alarm.

    Y => The active board reports this alarm. Go to 5.

    N => The standby board reports this alarm. Go to 6.

  5. If the alarm is reported by the active board, a switchover between the active and standby boards will be automatically performed. If the standby board has a same- or higher-level alarm, the switchover fails, resulting in the persistence of the alarm within the active board. Clear the alarm of the standby board by adhering to relevant alarm-handling procedures, and then check whether the switchover between the active and standby boards is performed.

    Y => The switchover is performed. Go to 6.

    N => The switchover is not performed. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  6. Replace the standby board and wait until the board is successfully restarted. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  7. Replace the board and wait until the board is successfully restarted. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
