Temperature threshold of test point 2 (unit: degrees centigrade); 65535 indicates that the test point does not exist.

10 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

If the board with high temperature works for a long time, a fault may arise.

System Actions

The fan is adjusted to work in full speed.

Possible Causes

  • The ambient temperature is high.
  • The fan box is faulty.
  • The empty slot is not installed with a dummy panel.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the fan box is faulty .

    Y => The fan box is faulty. Replace the fan box. Go to 2.

    N => The fan box is normal. Go to 2.

  2. Check whether there are empty slots which have not installed dummy panels.

    Y => There are empty slots which have not installed dummy panels. Go to 3.

    N => All the slots have installed boards or dummy panels. Go to 3.

  3. Check whether the temperature exceeds the normal operation range for the equipment.

    Y => The temperature exceeds the normal operation range for the equipment. Adjust the temperature to the normal operation range. Go to 4.

    N => The temperature does not exceed the normal operation range. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  4. Wait for 30 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
