Description

This alarm is reported when the two links between the service board and the GSCU switching network are disconnected.

6 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The service between the GSCU and the faulty service board is disrupted.

Possible Causes

  • Two GSCUs are out-of-position or not secured.
  • Two GSCUs are reset.
  • The local board is not securely inserted.
  • The port for the local board is faulty.
  • The backplane is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether a correlated parent alarm is reported.

    Y => Clear the parent alarm according to the corresponding handling suggestions. Check whether the alarm is cleared .

    N => Go to 2.

    The three alarms have the same Subrack No. and Slot No. in the alarm location information.

    This alarm is reported only when both link 0 and link 1 incur the 20129 Faulty GE Link on the Backplane of transaction board alarm.

  2. Check whether at least one GSCU is in position.

    Y => At least one GSCU is in position. Go to 3.

    N => Two GSCUs are out of position. This alarm is caused by the out-of-position of the peer board. Insert the GSCU into the subrack correctly. The alarm handling is complete.

  3. Check whether all the GSCUs in position are reset but are not started.

    Y => All the GSCUs in position are reset. The alarm is caused by the reset of the peer boards. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => At least one GSCU is not reset. Go to 4.

  4. Secure all the GSCUs in position and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Go to 5.

  5. Secure the local board and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Go to 6.

  6. Reset the local board and wait until the board is successfully restarted. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to 7.

  7. Replace the local board and wait until the board is successfully restarted. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
