20422 Abnormal Voltage

Description

This alarm is reported when one supply voltage of the input power in the power distribution box or one supply voltage of the environment monitoring device exceeds the upper or lower voltage limitation.

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
20422 Major Fault

Parameters

ID Name Meaning
1 Subrack No.

The number of the subrack

2 Logical Slot No.

0=0(Powerbox Monitor),2=2(Enviroment Monitor)

3 Sensor No.

Number of the sensor in the board

4 Voltage Status

0=Normal,1=High,2=Low

5 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The power distribution box supplies power abnormally. This may has an impact on normal running of the system. If the voltage exceeds the upper or lower limitation, the power module on the board might stop supplying power and the service is interrupted.

System Actions

Generally, if an alarm is reported within 10 seconds, the system can go back to normal automatically.

Possible Causes

Any supply voltage of the two input power in the power distribution box or the environment monitoring device exceeds the upper or lower voltage limitation.

Procedure

  1. Check the duration of the alarm. If the duration is less than 10 seconds, the alarm is reported because of the voltage pulsation and is unnecessary to be handled.

  2. If the duration is long, Check whether the power supply is normal.

    Y=> This indicates that the board is faulty. Go to 3.

    N=> The power supply is over voltage or under voltage. Inform the network operator to take certain measures, such as power transfer or battery maintenance. The alarm handling is complete.

    NOTE:

    The evaluation standard of 48 V power supply system: Undervoltage alarm ranges from -40 V to -42 V; overvoltage alarm ranges from -57 V to 60 V.

    The evaluation standard of 60 V power supply system: Undervoltage alarm ranges from -71 V to -75 V;

    overvoltage alarm ranges from -42 V to -50 V.

  3. Reset the power distribution box on the LMT. After the power distribution box is registered successfully, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y =>The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N =>The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
