20972 Ethernet Link Loop

Description

This fault alarm is reported when the FE port which on the WFGI/WGOI has configured with an IP address,and it's line looped by user.

0=no Loop,1=Line Loop Mode,2=System Loop Mode

6 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The performance of system may be affected and the related services may be interrupted .

Possible Causes

  • (1) Use the command SET ETHPORT,set Loop Mode "Line_Loop".
  • (2) The connection of the FE port is faulty.

Procedure

  1. (1) Use the command SET ETHPORT,set Loop Mode "No_Loop".

    (2) Check whether the connection of the WFIE/WFEE FE port is correct,or go to (3).

    (3) Contact the technical support engineers of the RNC or CBSC.
