21022 Remote Boards Loading too Slowly

Description

The relay agent module that is loaded to the remote subrack is faulty. A board in the remote subrack acts as the remote load agent. The function is to download the software files required for the board in the remote subrack in advance and buffer the files to local. Therefore, when other boards in the remote subrack are started or upgraded, the software is downloaded from the agent instead of from the GBAM/GOMU through the remote maintenance link. Thus the bandwidth of the link is saved and the startup of the board in the remote subrack is quickened.

4 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

When the boards in the remote subrack are loaded or upgraded, load the software from the GBAM/GOMU through the remote maintenance link. Because the bandwidth of the remote link is limited, it takes long to load software on the board in the remote subrack if a great number of boards in the remote subrack require loading.

System Actions

All the boards load software files from the GBAM/GOMU.

Possible Causes

  • The remote load agent board is faulty.
  • The remote maintenance link is congested or intermittent.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the physical connection between the local board and the remote board is normal. Check whether the connector is securely inserted or the cable is in good condition. If any trouble exists, shoot the trouble. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Go to 2.

  2. Check whether the remote load agent board runs abnormally. (On the LMT, check whether the equipment status is normal and whether the agent board has the alarm 21210 CPU Overload and21205 Board Fault in the Alarm Browse window on the LMT).

    Y => Abnormal. Go to 3.

    N => Normal. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  3. Switch over or reset the remote load agent board. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
