21584 APS K1/K2 Mismatch Alarm

Description

This alarm is reported when the ASP protection section uses different channels to send the K1 byte and to receive the K2 byte.

If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The switchover may not be complete, and the traffic carried by the optical port may be disrupted.

Possible Causes

This alarm is reported when the duration that ASP protection section uses different channels to send the K1 byte and to receive the K2 byte exceeds the five seconds.

Procedure

Check whether an alarm such as loss of signals, loss of frames, and alarm indication signal is associated with the peer equipment of the APS protection section.
Y => The alarm exists. Go to 2.

N => The alarm does not exist. Go to 3.
Ask the peer-site maintenance personnel to clear the alarm on the peer equipment, and then check whether the alarm on the local equipment is cleared.
Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

N => The alarm persists. Go to 3.
Switch local board to make the switch status on the both ends to be the same. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.
Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

N => The alarm persists. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
