291 Cell Transmission Delay Abnormal

Description

This alarm is reported when the transmission delay between the BTS and the BSC is lower than the lower limit or higher than the upper limit.

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
291 Major Event

Parameters

ID Name Meaning
1 Cell Index

Cells with abnormal transmission delay

2 Cause

0=common cell with a excessive delay,1=satellite cell with a too small delay,2=satellite cell with a little excessive delay,3=satellite cell with a excessive delay

3 CellName

Cell Name of the abnormal transmission delay Cell

4 CGI

Cell Global Identifier of the abnormal transmission delay cell

5 Site No.

Number of the site where the cell generating an alarm is located

6 Site Name

Name of the site where the cell generating an alarm is located

7 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

  • Cause 0: The transmission delay of the common cell is excessive, and this has impact on services;
  • Cause 1: This is a false alarm, it has no impact on services;
  • Cause 2: The transmission delay of the satellite cell is a little excessive, and this has impact on services;
  • Cause 3: The transmission delay of the satellite cell is excessive, and this has a great impact on services.

System Actions

None

Possible Causes

  • Cause 0: The cell is a common cell, and the transmission delay is higher than 240ms;
  • Cause 1: The cell is a satellite cell, and the transmission delay is lower than or equal to 240ms;
  • Cause 2: The cell is a satellite cell, and the transmission delay is higher than 800ms;
  • Cause 3: The cell is a satellite cell, and the transmission delay is higher than 1000ms.

Procedure

  1. Cause 0: On the local maintenance terminal, check whether the type of the cell is common cell;

    Y => Configure the cell type to satellite cell;

    N=> Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  2. Cause 2: On the local maintenance terminal, check whether the type of the cell is satellite cell;

    Y => Configure the cell type to common cell;

    N=> Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  3. Cause 2: No operation needed. This alarm indicates that the current environment is bad and this has impact on services;

  4. Cause 3: No operation needed. This alarm indicates that the current environment is very bad and this has a great impact on services.
