Description

This alarm is triggered when the communications between MMU and ASU fail.

Impact on the System

When this alarm occurs, the services in the BTS3001C are normal but the system cannot detect alarms from the ASU.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The ASU host software is busy.
  • The ASU host software fails or part of its modules are abnormal.
  • The ASU host software is damaged and cannot run normally.
  • The CBUS1 line for communications between the ASU and the MMU fails.

Procedure

  1. Check service status

    Check whether the BTS3001C transmission service status is normal.

    Y=>The ASU host software is faulty or lost. Go to step 3.

    N=>Go to step 2.

  2. Query ASU host software

    Log on to an NE through the command line software. Check whether the host software exists and whether it is working normally.

    NOTE:

    Method to check whether the host software exists: After logon through the command line software. If the prompt interface "NEBIOS is running. Download NESOFT please!" appears, the host software does not exist. Otherwise, the host software is not lost.

    Y=>Go to step 4.

    N=>Go to step 3.

  3. Load ASU host software

    Load ASU host software,and check whether the original alarm has been cleared.

    NOTE:

    Method to Load ASU host software : Run Run OptiX Navigator.exe. Click [File/New Download Window] and the corresponding interface will appear. Set the downloading NE ID and downloading file path. Reload the ASU host software and reset the ASU.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends.

    N=>The possible cause is that the hardware in the BTS3001C is faulty.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  4. Reset ASU

    Reset the ASU and then check whether the alarm has been cleared.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends.

    N=>The possible cause is that the hardware in the BTS3001C is faulty. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
