Description

This alarm is triggered when the BTS3001C coverage area shrinks because the PA is working abnormally, the output power decreases, or the detection circuit is abnormal.

If this alarm occurs, this BTS3001C coverage area might shrink.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • Because the PA power is abnormal, the output power might be too low.
  • Because the power detection circuit is abnormal, the detection voltage might be too low.
  • The connection lines (including the power control signal line and the detection feedback signal line) between the PA and the MCI are interrupted.
  • The RF transmit circuit is abnormal, which makes the PA output power low.
  • The related processing circuit of the MCI is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Measure the output power of the BTS3001C antenna feeder port

    Measure the output power of the BTS3001C antenna feeder port by power meter.Check whether the output is normal.

    The normal output of BTS3001C-204 is 4W,the normal output of BTS3001C-108 is 8W,the normal output of BTS3001C-116 is 16W.

    Y=>Go to step 2.

    N=>There are hardware faults in the BTS3001C.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  2. Dial to test through handset

    Dial to test whether the conversation is normal through handset.

    Y=>It is a false alarm. Go to step 3.

    N=>There are hardware faults in the BTS3001C.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  3. Reset the BTS

    In the remote or local maintenance system, perform fourth-level reset on the BTS3001C and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends.

    N=>The possible cause is that the hardware in the BTS3001C is faulty.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
