ALM-3434 RX_PLL_1 alarm

Description

This alarm is triggered when the BTS3001C clock module becomes invalid, or the MTR phase-lock loop is damaged.

Impact on the System

All services supported by the local BTS3001C are interrupted upon the occurence of this alarm.

System Actions

  • The system shuts off the power amplifier upon occurrence of this alarm.

Possible Causes

  • The MMU clock (13M clock) module becomes invalid.
  • The clock cable between the MTR and the MMU is disconnected.
  • The frequency configuration is incorrect (the GSM900M BTS is configured with frequency of DCS1800M system).
  • The MTR module is damaged.

Procedure

  1. Check whether there are any correlated alarms

    Check whether there is a ALM-3172 MMU Clock alarm on the LMT.

    Y=> Handle the ALM-3172 MMU Clock alarm according to the corresponding handling suggestions. Check whether the alarm is cleared.The alarm is cleared, Alarm handling is completed. The alarm is not cleared, Go to Step 2.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Check the BSC data configuration

    Check the BSC data configuration.Check whether frequency configured for this TRX is a valid value of GSM900M system(1~124).

    Y=> The frequency configuration is correct. Go to Step 3.

    N=> The frequency configuration is incorrect. Change the frequency configuration to a valid frequency of the GSM900M system (1~124). Go to Step3.

  3. Reset the BTS

    Perform fourth-level reset on the BTS3001C through the LMT. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=>Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center to replace the faulty inner container hardware.
