Description

This alarm is triggered when the downlink between the TS3001C MFU and MTR fails.

Impact on the System

When this alarm occurs, subscribers within the area covered by the BTS3001C cannot make calls.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The data configuration is incorrect.
  • The MFU fails.
  • The MTR fails.
  • The cable between the MFU and the MTR fails.

Procedure

  1. Check whether there are any correlated alarms

    Check whether there is a ALM-3142 MFU Communication alarm on the alarm system.

    Y=>The ALM-3142 MFU Communication alarm is displayed on the alarm system. Go to Step 3.

    N=>The ALM-3142 MFU Communication alarm is not displayed on the alarm system. Go to Step 2.

  2. Check the BSC data configuration
    1. Log in to the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal.
    2. Click a sell in the BSC6000 management tree.

      The Cell Attributes tab page is displayed.

    3. Click HOP at the bottom of the page.

      The Browse FH Attributes dialog box is displayed.

    4. Check the setting of the FH Mode.

      If the FH Mode is set as RF FH, and there is only one frequency displayed in the MA Frequencies Assigned of the Config MA Group, then this kind of configuration may lead to downlink alarm to the non-main BCCH TRX.

      Y=> The data configuration is correct. Go to Step 3.

      N=>The data configuration is incorrect. Change the FH Mode to No FH. Go to Step 3.

  3. Reset the BTS

    Perform fourth-level reset on the BTS3001C through the LMT. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> The inner container hardware may be faulty.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
