ALM-3584 DRU Interior I/O alarm

Description

This alarm is triggered when the data received by the sending FIFO (First in First Out) overflows or is null, or data check error occurs. FIFO is a buffer working under the principle of "first in first out". It is responsible for serial-to-parallel conversion, rate matching and so on.

Impact on the System

The DRU fails and run abnormally upon occurence of this alarm. As a result, all services supported by this DRU are interrupted.

System Actions

The system shuts off the power amplifier upon occurence of this alarm.

Possible Causes

  • Internal receiving/transmitting channels are faulty.
  • The DRU hardware is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Reset the BTS

    Perform fourth-level reset on the BTS3002C or reset it by power-down (recommended) through the LMT or local maintenance system. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Remove and reinsert the MCU and DRU

    Power down the BTS3002C. Remove and reinsert the modules on the backplane to ensure they are in well connection. Power on the BTS3002C and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the MCU and DRU and see if the alarm is cleared

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
