This alarm is reported when the EAC communication is abnormal.

The alarms related to environment monitoring cannot be reported.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The corresponding EAC is not installed or powered on.
  • Communication between the corresponding EAC and the IOMU is abnormal.
  • This alarm may be generated when the BTS is reset and it will auto disappear after successful reset.

Procedure

  1. Check if the EAC (environment alarm box) is installed or powered on.

    Y=>Go to Step 3.

    N=>Go to Step 2.

  2. Install the corresponding EAC and power it on. See if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>Go to Step 3.

  3. Check if the communication interface cable of the EAC is properly connected.

    Y=>Go to Step 5.

    N=>Go to Step 4.

  4. Connect the communication interface cable of the EAC and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>Go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the EAC and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>Go to Step 6.

  6. Check other boards on CBUS3.Disconnect all the communication cables of the CDU, EDU, TES, and PMU on CBUS3 and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>Go to Step 7.

    N=>Go to Step 8.

  7. Replace the faulty board.

    Alarm handling is completed.

  8. Reset the IOMU and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>Go to Step 9.

  9. Replace the IOMU and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
