409 Cell BCCH Aiding to IUO_INN TRX

Description

The alarm is reported when the TRX where the active BCCH is located is abnormal.The TRX of BCCH is faulty. The BCCH on this TRX is switched to IUO_INN TRX.

Attribute

409 Major Event

Parameters

ID Name Meaning
1 Cell Index.

Cell index that aids to the IUO_INN TRX.

2 Cell Name

Cell name that aids to the IUO_INN TRX.

3 Cell CGI

Cell Global Identifier that aids to the IUO_INN TRX.

4 Site No.

Number of the site where the cell generating an alarm is located

5 Site Name

Name of the site where the cell generating an alarm is located

6 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The coverage range of the cell signals may be reduced.

System Actions

The system automatically detects the cell for other available TRX, allocates the active BCCH to the IUO_INN TRX and initialize the cell again. If the original active BCCH is recovered, the active BCCH is in unblocked state, and TRX Aiding Function Control is set to Allowed Recover Immediately, the cell BCCH aiding to IUO_INN TRX happen.

Possible Causes

  • The active BCCH frequency is blocked manually.
  • The active BCCH channel is blocked manually.
  • The hardware fault of the active BCCH frequency destroys the frequency where the active BCCH is located.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the primary BCCH is idle .

    Y => The BCCH mutual aid succeeds. Go to 2.

    N => The BCCH mutual aid fails. The BCCH TRX mutual aid occurs again. If there are no TRXs available, Replace the faulty TRX.

  2. Check whether the primary BCCH is idle before the BCCH mutual aid occurs.

    Y => Go to 3.

    N => Go to 4.

  3. Check whether the former TRX carrying the primary BCCH has alarms.

    Y => Go to 5.

    N => Go to 4.

  4. Check whether the BCCH mutual aid is initiated by the manual blocking of the primary BCCH TRX.

    Y => The alarm handling is complete.

    N => Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  5. Analyze the alarm.
    1. The primary BCCH mutual aid is caused by the hardware failure of TRXs. Replace the faulty TRX.
    2. The communication between the TMU and the TRX is disrupted because the TRX board or the TRX power plug is loosely inserted. Power on the TRX again.
