Description

This alarm is reported when the processor in the Carrier Module runs abnormally.

Impact on the System

The DTRU reports this alarm upon detecting that an LAPD link is not available.

System Actions

When this alarm occurs, the system shuts off the power amplifier automatically. For the DTRU of main BCCH, DTRU mutual aid is started.

Possible Causes

  • CPU runs abnormally
  • CPU runs abnormally
  • The DSP software or the mailbox communication is faulty
  • Incorrect software version

Procedure

  1. Check if the DTRU software version is right.

    Check if the DTRU software version is right.

    Y=> Go to Step 2.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Load the right software version.

    Load the right software version and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

  3. Reset the BTS.

    Reset the BTS on the LMT and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 4.

  4. Plug in and out the main control module and DTRU module.

    Power off the BTS, plug in and out the main control module and DTRU module, power on again and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. The fault may lie in faulty DTRU hardware. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
