Description

This alarm is reported when the temperature of the power amplifier exceeds 90oC.

Impact on the System

All the services of the DTRU will be interrupted upon occurrence of this alarm.

System Actions

  • When this alarm occurs, the system shuts off the power amplifier automatically. For the DTRU of main BCCH, DTRU mutual aid is started.

Possible Causes

  • Over high environment temperature.
  • Heat dissipation system runs abnormally.
  • Faulty BTS hardware.

Procedure

  1. Check the ambient temperature of the BTS.

    Power off the TRX. For the indoor BTS, the indoor temperature must be lower than 25℃. For the outdoor BTS, the DHEU must be running normally. Then, power on the TRX.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Check for the Fan Not In-Position Alarm of the BTS.

    Power off the TRX. Take measures to clear the Fan Not In-Position Alarm. After ten minutes later than you clear the alarm, power on the TRX.

    Y => The alarm is reported. Rectify the fault according to the handling suggestions of Fan Not In-Position Alarm. After a while, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    N => The alarm is not reported. Go to step 3.

  3. Replace the DTRU.

    Replace the DTRU, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
