0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

First generation ring: When the BTS is reset, all the services related to the BTS are disrupted. Second generation ring: All the services related to the BTS are disrupted for a short time (eight seconds at most).

System Actions

When the alarm is generated, the BTS is switched over to the forward direction.

Possible Causes

  • The link on the reverse ring port connecting the BTS in ring topology mode (including the BTSs of the upper-level in the reverse direction) is faulty.
  • Manually rotate the ring network on the maintenance system.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the switchover of the BTS ring topology is caused by manual operation.

    Y => The BTS ring topology is switched over intentionally. The switchover of the BTS ring topology succeeds. The alarm handling is complete;

    N => Go to 2.

  2. Check whether the reverse ring port residing line of the BTS (including the BTSs of the upper-level in the reverse direction) is faulty.

    Y => Rectify the fault in the transmission line;

    N => Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
