Description

This alarm is reported in transmit diversity mode when a serious fault occurs on one transmit channel of the double-transceiver.

Impact on the System

This faulty channel is unavailable when the alarm occurs. But the other channel is normal.

System Actions

The power amplifier of the faulty channel is automatically shut down by the double-transceiver.

Possible Causes

  • The ambient temperature is too high.
  • The heat dissipation system is abnormal.
  • The hardware of the BTS is faulty.
  • The DTRU hardware is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Wait for the results of the system self-processing. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Check whether a fan alarm occurs on the BTS.
    1. Check whether a fan alarm occurs on the BTS.

      Y=> Go to Step b.

      N=> Go to Step 3.

    2. Rectify the fan fault.

      See 9736 NFCB Fan Subassembly Hardware Alarm.

      When the fan alarm is cleared, go to Step c.

    3. Check whether the temperature of the power amplifier is normal.

      Y=> The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N=> Go to Step 3.

  3. Check the environment temperature around the BTS.
    1. Check whether the temperature is higher than 55 ℃.

      Y=> Go to Step b.

      N=> Go to Step 4.

    2. Lower the environment temperature. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N=> Go to Step 4.

  4. Replace the faulty DTRU. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N=> The alarm persists. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
