This alarm is reported when the IP clock link is abnormal.

Impact on the System

The communication between the BTS and the clock server is abnormal. The clock signal packets cannot be received normally, resulting in no clock signals for the BTS.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The network fault exists between the BTS and the clock server.
  • The clock server is faulty, or the IPCLK configuration is improper

Procedure

  1. Run the DSP BTSIPCLK command on the MML client.
    1. Check the IP address and ports of the IP clock server. Ensure that they are properly configured. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure b.

    2. Check the settings of the handshake timer for the IP clock client and server. The handshake period C must be greater than or equal to the handshake period B.
  2. Check for network faults between the BTS and the clock server.

  3. Check the configuration of the IP clock server.

  4. If the fault cannot be located after the preceding procedures are performed, [HW]Contact Huawei[/HW].
