ALM-4724 TMU Software Alarm

Description

The alarm is triggered when there are irrecoverable software failures, such as failure in releasing memory request, failure in creating a task, failure in creating system object such as queue and failure in message transmission during TMU software running.

Impact on the System

The BTS services will be interrupted upon occurrence of this alarm.

System Actions

The system will automatically reset.

Possible Causes

  • The TMU software cannot run normally.
  • The TMU is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Update the TMU software version

    Download and activate the latest TMU software version of the BTS. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Power down and reset the BTS

    Power down the BTS, reset and power it up. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the TMU

    Replace the TMU and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
