ALM-5014 Optical Channel A Remote Alarm

Description

The optical module of the DOMU at the peer end does not receive correct optical signals, and the BTS transmission is interrupted temporarily or permanently. This alarm is reported.

The services are interrupted and restored automatically, or the services are interrupted without restoration.

Possible Causes

The optical module A does not receive correct optical signals or the received signals are of bad quality.

Procedure

  1. Clear the E1 local alarm is there is any.

  2. Perform a loopback test on the input optical fiber and the output optical fiber of the optical module A, Check weather the SFP-A of the DMCM is off.

    Y=> Go to Step 3.

    N=> Go to Step 4.

  3. Replace the optical output fiber of the optical module A. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>The reception of the equipment at the peer end is normal. Check the equipment at the peer end.

  4. Replace the optical module A of the DMCM. And check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the DMCM and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
