ALM-5022 Optical Channel B Remote Alarm

Description

The optical module of the DOMU at the peer end does not receive correct optical signals, and the BTS transmission is interrupted temporarily or permanently. This alarm is reported.

Possible Causes

The optical module of the DOMU at the peer end does not receive correct optical signals or the received optical signals are of bad quality.

Procedure

  1. Clear the local alarm if there is any.

  2. Perform a loopback test on the input optical fiber and the output optical fiber of the optical module A, Check weather the SFP-A of the DMCM is off.

    Y=> Go to Step 3.

    N=> Go to Step 4.

  3. Replace the output optical fiber of the optical module B. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=> The reception of signals at the peer end is abnormal. Check the equipment at the peer end.

  4. Replace the optical module B of the DMCM. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared.Go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the DMCM and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
