Description

The MPT periodically detects the interior temperature. If the temperature exceeds the threshold, an alarm is reported.

Impact on the System

  • Major: When the MPT over-temperature alarm is generated, the services may be disrupted.
  • Minor: When the MPT over-low temperature alarm is generated, the MPT performance may be deteriorated, and the system reliability may be reduced.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The temperature of the environment where the MPT is located is too high/low.
  • The hardware of the MPT is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check the working temperature of the MPT:
    1. Query the temperature of the MPT by running the MML command DSP BRDTEMP.

      Check whether the working temperature of the MPT is within the range -30°C to 85°C.

      Y => Go to Step 2.

      N => Go to step c.

    2. Improve the working conditions of the MPT according to the installation manual.
    3. Query the alarms in the alarm management system and check whether the original alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 2.

  2. . Reset MPT.

    Reset MPT and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace MPT.

    Replace the MPT and check whether the board fault is rectified.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
