This alarm is reported when a loading failure occurs to a chip in the board.

Impact on the System

  • Critical If the only MPT cannot work normally, the services will be interrupted.
  • Major If the faulty board is not MPT, the services carried on the board are interrupted.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The loaded file has an error, for example in filename or version number.
  • The board hardware is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the communications between the maintenance system and the MPT are interrupted.

    Check whether the communications between the maintenance system and the MPT are interrupted.

    Y => The communications are interrupted. Go to Step 5.

    N => The communications are not interrupted. Go to Step 2.

  2. Check whether the fault occurs to BOOTROM loading.

    Check whether the fault occurs to BOOTROM loading according to corresponding fault code

    Y => The fault occurs to BOOTROM loading. Go to Step 3.

    N => The fault occurs to EPLD loading. Go to Step 4.

  3. Reload the BOOTROM file.
    1. Check whether the BOOTROM file is correct in terms of filename, version number, and board type.

      Y => The BOOTROM file is correct. Go to step c.

      N => The BOOTROM file is not correct. Go to step b.

    2. Obtain the correct file.
    3. Reload the file to the LMT and activate it.
    4. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 5.

  4. Reactivate the board.
    1. Carry out "ACT SOFTWARE" to reactivate the alarming board and check whether the board is successfully reactivated.

      Y => The board is successfully reactivated Go to step b.

      N => The board fails to be reactivated. Go to Step 5.

    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the board.

    Replace the board. Check whether the new board is available:

    Y => The new board is available. The alarm handling ends.

    N => The new board is not available.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
