Impact on the System

Major If the board fails to work due to unavailable clock signals from both MPTs, all services carried on the board are interrupted.

System Actions

  • When this alarm occurs and neither the active nor the standby clock signals are available, the NodeB will set the board as unavailable.
  • When this alarm is cleared and the board is still unavailable, the NodeB will set the board as available.

Possible Causes

  • The board hardware is faulty.
  • The MPT hardware is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether there is such an alarm on multiple boards.

    Check whether there is such an alarm on multiple boards.

    Y => The MPT is faulty. Go to Step 2.

    N => The board is faulty. Go to Step 4.

  2. Reset the MPT.

    Reset the MPT.Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the MPT.

    Replace the MPT.Check whether the new board is available.

    Y => The new board is available. The alarm handling ends.

    N => The new board is not available. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  4. Reset the board.

    Reset the board.Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 5.

  5. Replace the board

    Replace the board.Check whether the new board is available.

    Y => The new board is available. The alarm handling ends.

    N => The new board is not available.Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
