ALM-5300 Cavity Tune Failure Alarm

Description

The SubNo of this alarm indicates different fault conditions. The alarm with SubNo. 0 to 3 is reported when the tune over a certain channel in the DFCU fails, and the tune does not go to the expected position. The alarm with SubNo. 255 is reported when the tune report of one TRX is not received. The alarm with SubNo. 4 to 7 is reported when the connection of the cavity is incorrect.

0-3: This alarm with SubNo. 0 to 3 is reported if a certain cavity of the DFCU fails to be tuned, where the SubNo. is equal to the corresponding cavity number.

4-7: This alarm with SubNo. 4 to 7 is reported when a certain cavity of the DFCU is tuned successfully but the TRX actually linked to it is inconsistent with the BSC data configuration, where the SubNo. is equal to the corresponding cavity number plus 4.

Impact on the System

When the alarm generates, the basic services proceed, but the downlink coverage goes down.

None.

Possible Causes

  • A hardware fault occurs to the DFCU.
  • The data configuration is incorrect.

Procedure

  1. Check the SubNo. of the alarm

    Check if the SubNo. of the alarm is 4-7.

    Y=>Modify the data configuration, and add corresponding TRX in the DFCU connection configuration. Observe if the alarm is cleared.

    N=>Go to Step 2.

  2. Reset the DFCU

    Reset the DFCU through the LMT, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends.

    N=>Go to step 3.

  3. Replace the DFCU

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
