Impact on the System

The service capacity of the BTS is reduced, or the BTS is out of service.

System Actions

When this alarm is generated, the BSC blocks the non-BCCH TRXs of the BTS to reduce the power consumption and to maximize the service time of the BTS.

Possible Causes

The single-phase AC mains supply is input to the PMU. The PMU internal power monitoring module monitors the AC voltage. This alarm will be generated when the voltage is lower than 50 V.

Procedure

  1. At the site, check whether the AC power supply is abnormal.

    Y => The AC power supply is abnormal. Contact the power supply department to rectify the power failure. After the AC power supply is normal, go to [2].

    N => The AC power supply is normal. Go to 3.

  2. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to 3.

  3. Check whether the power switch of the cabinet or equipment room is set to OFF.

    Y => The power switch of the cabinet or equipment room is set to OFF. Go to 4.

    N => The power switches of the cabinet and equipment room are all set to ON. Go to 5.

  4. Set the power switches of the cabinet and equipment room to ON. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to 5.

  5. Check whether the connections of power cables in the equipment room are faulty.

    Y => The connections of power cables in the equipment room are faulty. Contact the power supply department to rectify the fault. Then, go to [6].

    N => The connections of power cables in the equipment room are normal. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  6. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
