Possible Causes

  • The door sensor is faulty.
  • The cable is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Open the cover plate on the top of the door sensor. Use a multimeter to check the connectivity between both ends of the switch. The switch status is closed when the door is open and the status is open when the door is closed. Simulate the door opening action by pulling the magnet on the other part of the door sensor. Replace the faulty door status switch. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 2.

  2. Check the cable between door sensor of the APM30 and the APMI board. Replace the damaged cable. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
