Possible Causes

This alarm is generated when the PMU detects that the DC -48 V voltage output by the PSU is above the upper limit ( default value :58V).

Procedure

  1. Check whether the input mains abnormal exist.
    1. View the active alarms, and check whether the AC Overvoltage Alarm and the AC Undervoltage Alarm exist:

Y => Troubleshoot the faults in the power supply system.

      N => Go to procedure 2.

  2. Check the voltage of the –48 V DC power.
    1. Check the voltage of the –48 V DC power.
    2. Check the overvoltage alarm threshold of the –48 V DC power.
    3. Check whether the absolute value of the –48V DC power exceeds the current threshold:

Y => The voltage of the –48 V DC power exceeds the current threshold. Go to procedure 3.

N => The voltage of the –48 V DC power is normal. Go to procedure 4.

  3. Check whether the PSU is faulty.
    1. View the active alarms, and check whether the PSU is faulty:

Y => The alarm is reported. Go to step b.

N => The alarm is not reported. Go to procedure 4.

    2. Replace the faulty PSU. If there is a backup PSU, stop the faulty PSU.
    3. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 4.

  4. Replace the PMU.
    1. Replace the PMU.
    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
