Impact on the System

The BTS environment variables cannot be monitored.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The system is configured with a sensor but no sensor is physically connected.
  • A sensor is connected but it cannot work normally.

Procedure

  1. Check the temperature sensor cable.
    1. Disconnect the power cable and the serial cable of the fan. Remove the fan, and then connect the temperature sensor cable to the temperature sensor and ensure that the connections are secure. Reinstall the fan, and then reconnect the power cable and the serial cable of the fan.
    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Replace the temperature sensor.
    1. Disconnect the power cable and the serial cable of the fan. Remove the fan, and then replace the faulty temperature sensor. Reinstall the fan, and then reconnect the power cable and the serial cable of the fan.
    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 3.

  3. Replace the fan.
    1. Replace the fan.
    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
