Description

The alarm is reported when the door of the machine room or cabinet is open, triggering the door status sensor.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The door of the machine room or cabinet is open.
  • The door status sensor or the cables connecting it are faulty.
  • The switches are set incorrectly.
  • The DEMU is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check the status of the door of the equipment room.
    1. Check whether the maintenance engineer opens the door:

      Y=> Go to procedure 5.

      N=> Go to step b.

    2. Check on site whether someone enters the equipment room illegally:

      Y=> Somebody illegally opens the door of the equipment room. Go to step c.

      N=> Nobody illegally opens the door of the equipment door. Go to procedure 2.

  2. Check the alarm level of the door status alarm.
    1. Check the alarm level of the door status alarm. The door status alarm is triggered in high level.

      Y => The setting is correct. Go to procedure 3.

      N => Reset the alarm level of the door status alarm. Go to step b.

    3. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 3.

  3. Replace the door status sensor.
    1. Replace the door status sensor.

    3. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to procedure 4.

  4. Replace the EMU.
    1. Replace the EMU manually.
    2. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling ends.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

  5. Clear the alarm on the RNC side.
