Impact on the System

When the communication between the PSU and the PMU is interrupted, the PMU cannot monitor the PSU, and the PSU related alarms cannot be reported to the PMU.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The communication between the PSU and the PMU is interrupted. Any fault of the devices on the communication link will lead to this alarm.
  • The power supply has not been installed.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the PSU has been installed

    If this alarm occurs to all of the PSUs installed, go to Step [3]; if otherwise, check whether the PSU has been installed.

    Y=>Go to Step 2.

    N=>Install the PSU. View whether the alarm is cleared.

  2. Check whether the PSU is faulty.

    Y=>Replace the PSU if faulty.

    N=>Go to Step 3.

  3. Check whether the PMU is faulty.

    Replace the PMU if faulty. View whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 4.

  4. Check whether the backplane of the power supply is faulty.

    Replace the backplane of the power supply. View whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Huawei Customer Service Center to replace the backplane of the power supply .
