Description

This alarm is reported when the IASU detects the LTI signals.

Impact on the System

The transmission services are normal in 24 hours. Later, bit errors may be generated, or the services may be interrupted.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The optical port of the receive clock source is faulty.
  • The clock of the upper-level BTS is not stable.
  • The clock frequency discrimination module works abnormally.

Procedure

  1. Check whether there are other alarms reported.

    Check whether ALM-7396 Optical Receive Channel Alarm is reported. If yes, rectify the alarm according to the suggestions. Then check whether the current alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling is complete.

    N=> Go to Step 2.

    If 7396 optical receive channel alarm is reported, the received clock source signals of the corresponding optical channel are lost.

  2. Check the clock source priority list.
    1. Log in to the OptiX iManager NES.
    2. Choose Configuration > STG.....

      The Clock Configuration dialog box is displayed.

    3. Click the Clock Source Priority Table tab page. Check whether the settings of this table are correct.

      The correct settings are:

      Westward clock source and Internal clock source if the services of the local BTS 3006C are transmitted through the westward optical port.

      Eastward clock source and Internal clock source if the services of the local BTS 3006C are transmitted through the eastward optical port.

      Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm handling is complete.

      N=> The cause cannot be located. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
