Description

This alarm is reported when communication between the fan monitoring board inside the fan box and the DTMU interrupts for more than 240 seconds.

Impact on the System

  • The fan box cannot communicate with the DTMU or report the alarm or adjust the speed through the main control unit. The fan is auto set to full speed after the alarm.
  • The alarm severity is critical.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • Improper installation (probably).
  • The MON0 port of the UPEU board is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check the cable connection between the FMUA board and the BBU and between the COM IN port on the FMUA and the MON0 port on the UPEU.
    1. If the cable is not securely connected, connect the cable properly. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. End the alarm handling.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to step 2.

  2. Check the software configuration of the FMUA board. If the alarm is not cleared. Go to step [3].

  3. Replace the FMUA board. Check whether the alarm is cleared:

    Y => The alarm is cleared. No further action is required.

    N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
