1) Attach temporary labels to both ends of the new optical cable. It is recommended that the contents of the temporary labels be consistent with the contents of the engineering labels on the optical cable to be replaced.
2) Remove the optical cable to be replaced on the basis of the type of optical connector.
a. In the case of an LC/PC or SC/PC connector, press the tab on the connector and remove the optical cable.
b. In the case of an FC/PC connector, unscrew the optical connector counterclockwise.
3) Remove the dustproof cap from the optical connector of the new optical cable and then keep the cap for future use. Connect the new optical cable to the original ports.
Note: For the LC/PC, FC/PC, or SC/PC connector, the TX end and the RX end must be correctly connected on the basis of the temporary label. Otherwise, the optical signals cannot be received or transmitted.
4) Replace the temporary labels on the new optical cable with the engineering labels.
5) Bind the optical cable.
