BTS3012 or BTS3012AE:
Step 1 Wear an antistatic wrist strap.
Step 2 Determine the number of DTMUs installed.
? If only one DTMU is installed, go to Step 3.
? If two DTMUs are installed, go to Step 11.
Step 3 Block the related cells.
1. Start the site maintenance terminal system.
2. Click Cell and then double-click Change Cell Management State in the right pane to show the Change Cell Management State dialog box.
3. Select LOCKED to block the cells under the faulty DTMU.
4. Click OK.
Step 4 Switch off the power of the common subrack.
Set the BUSBAR power switch of the common subrack to OFF.
Step 5 Remove the cables from the faulty DTMU panel.
Step 6 Remove the faulty DTMU. For details, see section 2.1.3 "Removing a Faulty Board."
Step 7 Install the new DTMU in the slot of the faulty one. For details, see section 2.1.4 "Installing a New Board."
Step 8 Install cables to the new DTMU panel.
Step 9 Switch on the power of the common subrack..
Set the BUSBAR power switch of the common subrack to ON.
Step 10 Unblock the cells.
1. In the Change Cell Management State dialog box, select UNLOCKED to unblock the cell, and click OK.
2. Go to Step 17
Step 11 Check whether the board to be replaced is the active DTMU or standby DTMU.
? If it is the active DTMU, go to Step 12.
? If it is the standby DTMU, go to Step 13.
Step 12 Switch over the active DTMU and the standby DTMU.
1. Start the site maintenance terminal system.
2. Click Board and then double-click Board Management.
The Board Management dialog box is displayed.
3. Right-click the target DTMU in the Board Management dialog box and choose Changeover on the shortcut menu.
4. Select Manual Changeover from the Changeover Option list box, and click OK.
Step 13 Remove the cables from the faulty DTMU panel.
Step 14 Remove the faulty DTMU. For details, see section 2.1.3 "Removing a Faulty Board."
Step 15 Install the new DTMU in the slot of the faulty one. For details, see section 2.1.4 "Installing a New Board."
Step 16 Install cables to the new DTMU panel.
Step 17 Take off the antistatic wrist strap and keep it for future use.

BTS3006C:
Step 1 Block the related cells.
1. Start the Site Maintenance Terminal System.
2. Click Cell and then double-click Change Cell Management State in the right pane.
The Change Cell Management State dialog box is displayed.
3. Select LOCKED to block the cells under the faulty DMCM.
4. Click OK.
Step 2 Power off the DMCM.
Set the power switch of the DPSM or DSEM to OFF.
Step 3 Remove the panel and cables of the faulty DMCM.
If the cabinet is installed in floor standing mode, you need to remove the panel from the base of the DMCM before removing the cables.
Step 4 Remove the faulty DMCM.
For details, refer to section 4.2.1 "Overview of Replacing Modules."
Step 5 Install the new DMCM in the previous slot.
For details, refer to "Installing a New Module" in section 4.2.1 "Overview of Replacing Modules."
Step 6 Connect the cables of the new DMCM according to the positions of the previous cable connection.
Step 7 Power on the DMCM.
Set the power switch of the DPSM or DSEM to ON.
Step 8 Unblock the cells.
1. In the Change Cell Management State dialog box, select UNLOCKED to unblock the cell.
2. Click OK.
