1. Preparations
(1)Confirm the position and version .
(2) Mark the installation positions of the cables to the DCOM.
2. Procedure
To replace the DCOM, perform the following steps:
(1) Block the transmission channel of the related DTRU.
(2) Wear an antistatic wrist strap.
(3) Remove the cables from the faulty DCOM.
(4) Remove the faulty DCOM.
(5) Install the new DCOM.
(6) Install the cables to the DCOM panel.
(7) Take off the antistatic wrist strap and keep it for future use.
(8) Unblock the transmission channel of the related DTRU.
In the Management State box of the Change RC Management State dialog box, select UNLOCKED.Click OK.
3.Checking the Replaced Board
(1) Check whether the board is in full contact with its backplane.
If board indicators are on and then off, it indicates that the board is not in full contact with its backplane. Reinstall the board.
When the board is in full contact with the backplane, all the indicators will light up for three seconds. In this case, go to Step 2 .
(2) Check whether the board software versions are correct.
(3) Check whether the relevant alarms are cleared.
(4) Check whether the board is operating normally.
(5) Check whether the board can provide normal services.
Perform dialing tests after replacing the board. If the board supports packet service before replacement, you also have to perform the packet domain services such as internet browse to ensure that the board is in normal service.
