Functions of the GOIUA

The GOIUA enables the STM-1 transmission on the A interface.

The GOIUA performs the following functions:

• Provides one STM-1 port, which is used for TDM transmission
• Provides Automatic Protection Switching (APS) function to enable switchover between the optical channel links of the active and standby boards.
• Provides one channelized STM-1 port with the data rate of 155.52 Mbit/s
