The GOIUP enables the STM-1 transmission on the Pb interface.
The GOIUP performs the following functions:
- Provides one STM-1 port, which is used for TDM transmission
- Provides Automatic Protection Switching (APS) function to enable
switchover between the optical channel links of the active and standby
boards.
- Provides one channelized STM-1 port with the data rate of 155.52
Mbit/s
- Processes signals according to the LAPD protocol
