Customized Alarm Ports of the DBS3900/BTS3900/BTS3900A Base Station

This describes the relation between the BTS internal alarm IDs and the environment alarm ports/cables of each monitoring device. The monitoring devices are the EMUA, UPEU, UEIU, APMI, and FMUA.

Environment alarm ports of the EMUA

On the LMT, the EMUA is displayed as "DEMU". The EMUA is connected to the MON1 port of the UPEU or the UEIU through the RS485 signal cable.

Table 1 describes the relation between the alarm IDs and the environment alarm ports/cables of the EMUA.
CAUTION:

The Alarm ID in all the tables of this section is the BTS internal alarm ID. The BSC alarm ID should be planned separately.

Environment Alarm Ports of the UPEU

The Boolean alarms related to the UPEU are reported through the GTMU. Therefore, you should set "Subrack No." and "Slot No." of the GTMU by running the command "SET ALMPORT".

NOTE:
  • Each Boolean value is represented by one bit.
  • The UPEU can also be configured in slot 18 of subrack 0. The corresponding port number ranges from 1 to 8. The alarm 5048 is mapped with port 1 and the alarm 5050 is mapped with port 2. The relation between the alarm ID and the port number can be deduced by analogy.

Environment Alarm Ports of the UEIU

The Boolean alarms related to the UEIU are reported through the GTMU. Therefore, you should set "Subrack No." and "Slot No." of the GTMU in the parameters of the command "SET ALMPORT".

Table 3 describes the relation between the alarm IDs and the environment alarm ports/cables of the UEIU.
