Adding a GBSR Cabinet

This describes how to add a GBSR cabinet and configure its attributes through the LMT. When the BM and TC are configured in different subracks, the GBSR cabinet can be configured on the BSC side or on the MSC side. When the GBSR cabinet is configured on the MSC side, the cabinet houses only the GTCS.

ScenarioBSC initial configuration and BSC capacity expansion
Mandatory/OptionalOptional. A GBSR cabinet is added when the GTCS needs to be configured on the MSC side.
NOTE:

When the BM and TC are configured in different subracks, the GBSR cabinet can be configured on the BSC side or on the MSC side. When the GBSR cabinet is placed on the BSC side, it is a local GBSR cabinet. When the GBSR cabinet is placed on the MSC side, it is a remote GBSR cabinet. The local GBSR cabinet holds the GEPS or the GTCS. The remote GBSR cabinet holds only the GTCS.

Zero to three GBSR cabinets can be configured on the basis of the actual traffic volume, GBAM/GOMU configuration mode, and GTCS configuration mode.
